Japanese steakhouse inspired ginger salad

  • Chinese cabbage – chopped
  • tomato – chopped
  • carrot – julienned
  • green onions – sliced

Cabbage first, tomatoes on the bottom, top with the dressing, garnish with carrot and green onions


neutral flavored oil of choice (we used avocado)

  • apple cider vinegar

Start with equal parts oil and vinegar, then add

  • salt to taste
  • minced Thai basil
  • grated orange zest (zest of one orange)
  • grated ginger You want more ginger than orange so keep grating
  • grated onion
  • grated garlic
