Carmen’s Perfect Stovetop Hamburger

Buy fresh ground beef hamburger patties already formed at the grocery store. Put Worcestershire and Italian dressing on top of the raw meat spreading it out with the back of a spoon. Add salt and pepper. Flip and repeat on the other side.

Let it sit 20 minutes (you can put them in the fridge if you aren’t sure when you’ll cook them – they can sit longer in the fridge).

Get the pan really hot on medium to medium high heat.. Put the patties in, set a timer for 5 minutes and don’t touch them.

Flip the burgers, set a timer for 4 minutes and again, touch them. If you want cheese, add it after you flip them towards the end of the 4 minutes. They will have a very slightly pink center. Well done the juices will be clear (let it go a tad longer than 4 minutes on the second side).
