Smoked brisket

IMG_20160619_204900Combine the following spices to make a rub:

  • ancho chili powder
  • chili powder
  • paprika
  • smoked paprika
  • powdered ginger
  • onion powder
  • Mrs. Dash (garlic)
  • ground cumin
  • dried mustard
  • salt
  • white pepper

Rub this mixture into the meat.  Smoke until the meat registers 185 (about 5 hours for this particular cut).  George smoked this with apple wood and hickory.
