Sausage gravy


  • 1 pound bulk sausage
  • white flour
  • milk
  • salt
  • pepper

Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat stirring until the meat is crumbled and cooked through. Add several tablespoons of flour stirring until it’s mixed evenly through the sausage. Add one cup of milk all at once stirring constantly so that it blends without lumps. Keep cooking and stirring until the gravy thickens. Add more milk, stirring constantly, until the gravy is the consistency you like. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve over homemade biscuits.
